And it was a great trip. Good company, lots of laughs, foam shrims and strawberry wine. Tiring journey but worth it.
We added some fabulous animals to our collection, some of whom we plan to add to some breeding programmes.
0.1 Hypomelanistic het. Bloodred, Charcoal, Anery - Ruby
1.0 Hypomelanistic Stripe - Earl
0.1 Aztec Lavender - Izel aka IzzyWizzyWoo
0.1 Avalanche het. Charcoal & Hypo - Blanche
0.1 Anery het. bloodred - Myrtle
At the IHS show I helped out on Lexcorns table and loved every minute of it. Met a few new faces and saw some friends too. Unfortunately was let to wander unaccompanied and managed to come back with:
1.0 Sunglow Leopard gecko for my 4 females - to be named
&
1.0 Pastel Boa from Ian Bennett - Diego Squeezy

We really love him and cant wait to see his colours develop as he gets older. Pics will be added of our corns to the gallery :-)
Thanks to Lex & Alun @ Lexcorn for my new additions and for giving me a much needed break :-) x

And its great!!
We ended up with 19 hatchlings from Rustys clutch 17 Amelanistic & 2 Amelanistic Stripe
On 9th August Craig and I got a wonderful 5th wedding anniversary present of pippies from Sprite X Kai's clutch. Very few Amel's....LOTS of stripes a couple of suprise 'cubes'. Great stuff!
The lovely 'Komodo' pictured above. The biggest egg Ive seen and came out at 8grams. Quite a character too!
We also had these
These guys are sloughing as we speak.
In the meantime dear Rusty double clutched but as she was not remated only 1 of 12 eggies were viable. This little 'un is due to hatch at the end of September.
Both Rusty & Sprite are recovering nicely from their first breeding seasons and we are very pleased with their efforts.

Here are some more:
So far 28/07/2009 we have 14 Amelanistic, 2 Amelanistic Stripe & 3 still to hatch. We are very happy and this has been a fantastic introduction to the world of breeding corn snakes.

Both our ladies have had their pre lay slough.
Rusty is now 8 days past and due any time now. Sprite sloughed today whilst I was at work.
Lets hope both ladies produce their clutches soon. Incubator is awaiting eggies

Well Rusty is in her pre-lay slough and is looking uncomfortably large. Not long now. The incubator is waiting for some pearly white residents...we hope!
Sprite is looking gravid also but yet to present to us in her pre-lay slough. Being such a pale individual we shall have to keep a close eye.

...and put on some Barry White...Kai the love guru is in the housssssseeee. Just mated with a second female Sprite who in fact was purchased as a male. Would certainly explain why Rusty & Sprite did not mate in 2008 :-\. Fingers crossed for lots of lovely babies.

Spring is definately here at Clancorns. This week we have been pairing a bright duo. Check out our 'Available corns' page for pictures and details. We will of course keep you updated on Rustys progress. Fingers crossed for some fantastically coloured hatchlings with this pair. They are from wonderful bloodlines @ our good friends at Lexcorn.
